The Awakening of the Volcano – Geldingadalir, Iceland

I've been following this volcano since the very beginning in march 2021. I wanted to take the first flight to be a witness of this unique event but covid restrictions were a big problem for me. So I waited until August 5 to see it in person. I had only one day of shooting, the volcano was asleep since a day or two but around 9-10 pm it started to erupt. We spent the whole night until the sunrise, following the lava flow and enjoying these amazing scenes.
